Bruce Kingma has a pretty good summary in his book, THE
ECONOMICS OF ACCESS VS. OWNERSHIP, recently published
by Haworth Press. My main caveat with the epidemic of this sort
of analysis is that it fails to take into account the cost to the
researcher and research sponsor.
