        ELECTRONIC JOURNAL COST MODELS:  WHAT PRICE ACCESS?

Please come participate in a discussion on this timely topic!  Panelists
Jerry Curtis of Springer-Verlag, Sharon Cline McKay of Blackwell
Periodicals, and Tom McIlrath of American Physical Society Publishing will
give brief presentations on how their organizations are coping with the
ever-changing variety of electronic journal pricing models.

Following these presentations, the audience is encouraged to participate
in a provocative discussion on such issues as:

        ---Consortia pricing vs. small libraries.  Are smaller libraries
getting a raw deal?

        ---Bundled vs. unbundled prices.  Will libraries be able to choose
the access format which suits them best?

        ---Archiving:  who, where, when, and how?  Will we have ongoing
access to back issues of electronic journals after a subscription is
canceled?

        ---Collection development or package plans:  are we reshaping our
collections based on publisher/aggregator offerings?
