Discussion Group presents:

ACQUIRING AND MANAGEING ELECTRONIC JOURNALS:
        INTEGRATED WORK LOAD OR SPECIAL HANDLING?

(San Francisco Hilton Ballroom 3 Monday, June 30, 9:30-11:00)

Electronic journals are entering libraries in ever-increasing
numbers.  In the past, their numbers were small enough that
they could be handled as a separate work flow.  With increased
publication and acquisition of electronic journals, how will
libraries change their handling?

A serials vendor and a serials librarian will lead this discussion
on how libraries are acquiring electronic journals and absorbing
them into their library's serials work flow.  Come and share your
experiences and ideas about maintaining and managing access,
licensing agreements, copyright, and archiving this format
in your libraries.
