Managing More With Less: Outsourcing and Other Options
a conference sponsored by the CAPCON Library Network
May 30, 1997
Organizations of all types today are under pressure to accomplish more
with less. Like other organizations, libraries are turning toward
outsourcing, temporaries and other non-permanent staffing solutions,
end-user self-service, and other strategies in an attempt to get more work
done for fewer dollars and with fewer long-term commitments. This one-day
Institute features a top-notch cast of presenters who will explore the
application and implications of outsourcing and related strategies in
libraries, and the multitude of management, financial, and human resource
issues involved.
