Hello Serialist Folks,
Regarding the message from Rebecca Reilly about the Russian History
Journal. I would like to request that anyone with ideas about pasting in
the illustrations send it to the whole list. I am the lowly serials
check-in person at the IUPUI library in Indianapolis and we received our
copy also with three packets of illustrations ready to be glued in.
Naturally I passed this unusual volume on to the powers that be. The
feedback I received was that the illustrations we received did not seem to
be in correct order and that the chief difficulty would be in determining
what the correct order was. The pasting we can handle.

I'm no preservationalist (can't even spell it) but talk of "wheat paste"
and "waxed paper" reminded me of a video. "Basic Book Repair with Jane
Greenfield" from the Wilson Video Resource Collection 1-800-367-6770 is an
excellent resource for beginners like me. I'm no salesman and there may
even be better videos on the market but this is a good one.
