than the list. Thanks. -ed.
----------------------------Original message----------------------------
Please pardon any duplication. I have sent this message to a couple
of lists.
Dear list members,
I would like to talk with libraries that have cancelled the print
subscription to Chemical Abstracts and have replaced it with access
on the desk top through STN or some other service.
Questions I need answered are:
1) How long have you been providing this service?
2) Have you experienced any cost savings?
3) What type of learning curve is associated with the provision of
this service?
4) What is the average cost per search?
5) How many searches are done in a month or year?
6) Are you and your faculty happy with the service?
Please either return this message with any comments you may have or
send me a quick note with an approximate good time to phone you or
fax responses to me. Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Debbie Bailey
