Subject: Use studies
Our library is planning to do a periodicals use study this Spring and
we would like some feedback from others who have done this recentely:
1. How did you break out the years (96-97, 94-95, 90-93, etc.). Did
you use a shorter time frame for the most recent and lengthen it as
you went further back? How did you determine use for long runs?
2. We know that April and October are good months for surveys. Do
we need to do the entire month in order to collect a statistically
valid data sample, or can we use x number of days of weeks within the
month?
Please send replies directly to cnahrwold@everest.acpl.lib.in.us
Thanks for your help.
