Hi,

Jane Speer has asked what speedy pamphlet binders are. I am sure they are
known by other names.

My description is thus:

A "speedy" pamphlet binder is a board made out of heavy carboard with a
cloth hinge. The boards may be in various colours with various colours for
hinges. We have a light grey board with a blue hinge. We buy these binders
from our commercial binder who cuts them to our requested sizes. He also
customizes the hinge size for us, as opposed to just accepting the standard
hinge, because some issues have very narrow inside margins. We use two
boards to a volume. When we obtain the missing issues and wish to have the
volume commercially bound we remove the issues and reuse the binders.
Eventually the hinge will have too many holes so the binder must be
discarded. But in general it is "waste not, want not".

Trust this helps.
