ALA in DC: Schedule for Gay Lesbian Bisexual Task Force Gary M Klein (bear-at-heart) 09 Feb 1997 21:22 UTC

Now that the GLBTF finally has its room schedules in place (don't
ask what we went through this time), I can finally pass the schedule of
events over to you. INCLUDING TWO ITEMS that are NOT included in the ALA
conference guidebook!

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Taskforce (GLBTF) has been an offical arm
of the American Library Association for over twenty-five years, and
will be holding several business meetings & social events in Washington
D.C. during ALA's Midwinter Meeting (February 14-18).

YOU NEED NOT be a member of ALA or GLBTF to attend these events (the
schedule is listed at the bottom). Please free to join this dynamic and fun
group of librarians while attending the ALA conference.

In addition to our various business/committee meetings, this will be
our 9th year of sponsoring the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual READ ALOUD! You do
not have to read anything out loud in order to join the Read Aloud
audience, but participation is certainly welcome! If you want to
volunteer to read at the READ ALOUD, or would like more information about
these events or GLBTF in general, please e-mail directly:
                               gklein@willamette.edu
or phone me up at #503-370-6743.

GLBTF will also be hosting its traditional Saturday evening social hour.
Again, you need not be a member of GLBTF to meet the faces behind the
e-mails at these events.

I will be heading out of town to DC on Thursday morning 2/13, so if you
have any questions, please contact me ASAP.

If you need to contact me during the ALA conference, I will be
staying at the Holiday Inn-Franklin.
