AUTOMATION DEVELOPMENTS FOR ACQUISITIONS: NEW
DIRECTIONS AND SHARED CONCERNS

Technical services work and staff  are affected by system changes and
automation developments, whether in their own integrated library system
or in materials vendors' systems.  In this moderated panel, representatives
of ILS and materials vendors will discuss trends and opportunities at the
verge of the new millennium.  This session will provide insight into possible
changes and developments, as well as a chance for the audience to suggest
their ideas for the future.
