Has there been a CONSER policy change concerning the order of notes?
Spring 1995 CEG Notes p. 1: "Field 538 is input as the first 5xx note
for computer files."
However, I've noticed that some Project Muse titles which had been
updated in Oct. 96 (and prior to that recorded the 538 note first) now
list the notes in 5xx order by number, i.e. 500, 515, 530... See, for
example, OCLC#31870355.  Thanks, in advance for your response.--Beth
