Serials gift policy.

We don't have a specific policy, but our "practice"
follows these guide lines.

1) Do we subscribe to the journal?

   If so we will take gifts.  If they fill in holes -
   good.  If not, we put them on dup exchange.

2) If we don't subscribe to the journal ---

   A) Will the gift be a continuous gift?

      If so, we may keep the issues, especially
      if the journal is useful, indexed and too
      costly for us to buy.

   B) No, it's not a continuous gift.

      In this case the run must be for least 3 years
      for us to consider it.

      In most cases, the run must also be no more than
       5 years old as well!
