Subject: Cataloging question: Discontinued title resumed
I am writing in reference to the title Communio viatorum , ISSN 0010-3713.
It ceased publication in 1990 with vol.33, no. 1-2. But then it resumed
again in 1992 with vol. 34, no.1, and is still current. The name of the
publisher changed somewhat. The ISBN remained the same. Our serials vendor
has it as a current title and we have ordered all issues from vol. 35 on.
It is being published out of sequence. I have the following issues in
hand:
v. 34, no.1 (1992)
v. 34, no.2 (1993)
v. 34, no.3 (1992)
The OCLC record (#1605261) reflects the 1990 cessation and is closed out.
I was going to use the record and reopen it for my own use, but who do I
need to notify so the shared record can be updated? Should I handle it
like a regular OCLC error submission? What kind of proof do I need?
