Actually, that sounds adequate to me. I think our agent has a little
better percentage, and I know they doggedly pursue claims for us. A lot
of publishers just have really slow response time.

This is a good question. Why don't you ask your vendor what
their own figures show for similar sized accounts for public
libraries? I'm sure some libraries are more aggressive with
claiming than others but you could probably establish where
you are in relation to the mean. Your reasoning assumes all
your subscriptions are monthlies. A comparison with my
library would be comparing apples and oranges but I can
commiserate with you. Claiming is one of my biggest
bugaboos.
