E-Serials & CONSER memo on SERIALST fileserver Birdie MacLennan 11 Sep 1996 18:44 UTC

Hello. SERIALST readers might be interested in knowing that the document
entitled [in its subject line] "E-Serials and CONSER" - which outlines
CONSER's "interim compromise" guidelines for cataloging remote access
versions of printed journals, is now available from the SERIALST
fileserver. The memo was drafted by Jean Hirons, Acting CONSER
Coordinator, and posted to SERIALST on Aug. 27, 1996. Thanks to Jean for
granting permission to re-mount this document.

If you would like to retrieve a copy of this file, send a one line e-mail
message to: listserv@uvmvm.uvm.edu that reads:

                     GET ESERIALS CONSER

If you are interested in knowing what other documents are available from
the SERIALST fileserver, you may retrieve a copy of the SERIALST filelist
to review the index, or list of files. To do this, issue an e-mail
request to: listserv@uvmvm.uvm.edu that reads

                         INDEX SERIALST [or]
                         GET SERIALST FILELIST
(these commands are synonymous and either will get the same result)

Additional information can also be found on the SERIALST Web page at:

                http://www.uvm.edu/~bmaclenn/serialst.html

Section 3.0 of the web page includes information about the fileserver and
its contents. From the web page, you can also issue e-mail requests to
retrieve the documents that are listed. In some instances, you can link
directly to the document(s).

I hope that readers find this information and these services to be of use.

Regards,

        Birdie MacLennan
