  ILL/Serials Librarian (Search reopened). The University of Southern
  Mississippi Libraries seek an energetic librarian to supervise the
  ILL/Serials unit and to work at the reference desk (including some
  night and weekend hours) at its branch campus library which serves
  about 1600 students and 40 faculty.

  Main duties: manage the ILL/Serials unit; assist with the development
  and improvement of the library's electronic environment, particularly
  document delivery; serve as a member of the reference team; assist with
  collection development; and report to the Director.

  Required: ALA-accredited MLS, professional experience in an academic
  library, excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills,
  knowledge of print and electronic resources and services, skill in
  microcomputer applications, familiarity with OCLC and its subsystem;
  some experience with Serials collection (includes microform); flexibility
  and the ability to accept and manage change; and supervisory experience.
  Librarians at USM hold tenure-track, 12-month positions and have faculty
  status. Employment is contigent on the ability to work in the U.S.

  SALARY: $26,000. The successful candidate must be able to meet successfully
  the requirements for continuing appointment, promotion, and tenure in the
  areas of librarianship, professional development, and service.
