Subject: Binding & shelving question

I'm rather new to the serials world and I have a question concerning
the shelving and binding of a title. Our library currently shelves
bound and current periodicals in alphabetical order.

My question concerns _Proceedings - the Soil and Crop Science Society
of Florida_, OCLC record #1489546. Which is proper to shelve, by the
110 field Soil and Crop ... or by the 245 field Proceedings / \c the
Soil and Crop Science ..., and what is the rational for the choice?

Thanks,
Debbie
