Greetings,
I need some input from other libraries. Do any of your libraries utilize a
Kroy label maker or another brand of label maker? If so, who uses it and for
what purposes? Or, have you replaced a label maker with some other improved
means of labeling shelves, spine labels of manuals, etc?
We need to replace our Kroy label maker which is old and can no longer be
repaired at a reasonable price. The reason I need some input is because our
administration is balking at replacing this tool siting cost of cartridges
as the reason. Besides the Serials/Acquisitions department, Government Docs,
Technical Services & Reference uses it. Yet, we seem unable to convince them
of the necessity of this work supply. We are a small academic library -
about 2000 students.
Please reply to me directly. Thanks.
