CALL FOR PAPERS: Spring 1997 meeting of the Ohio Valley Group of
                 Technical Services Librarians

       Tradition and Innovation : Technical Services in the 21st Century

The Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians (OVGTSL),
serving Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, will hold its 1997 annual meeting
at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana, on April 17-
18. The OVGTSL Program Planning Committee invites proposals for
individual or group presentations that explore technical services
issues from historical, theoretical, or practical perspectives. Poster
sessions are also welcomed. Possible topic areas include
acquisitions, cataloging, database maintenance, preservation, serials,
and systems. Submissions relating to academic, public, or special
libraries are encouraged.

OVGTSL invites all interested persons to submit proposals, which
should include the following:

* Name, address, institution and title, e-mail address, and telephone
    number of the presenter(s)
* Title of presentation
* Abstract (not to exceed 200 words)
* Format (e.g. oral presentation, panel discussion, poster session)
* Equipment needs
* Total time required (including time for questions)

Proposals should be submitted by September 15, 1996, for assured
