This posting is a query for general information on the way Community
College libraries & LRC's approach serials acquisitions.  Any brief
statement of your collection development priorities, and the way
these are specifically implemented for periodicals, would be very
helpful.  Actual policy or mission statements would be ideal.

I'm especially interested in the methods used by comm. coll.
libraries to balance educational mission with general community
service, as regards serials acquisitions.
