ALCTS/SS/Committee to Study Serials Cataloging
Monday, July 8, 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Javits Convention Center, 1E 6
The meeting will include a report by Regina Reynolds on CONSER and other
serials cataloging activities at LC, reports on serials-related issues
from CC:DA and MARBI meetings, and discussion of the CONSER Task Force
proposal for cataloging conference publications, the CONSER one-record
policy for e-serials (proposed), and format integration. The FI discussion
will address such issues as: Has FI changed practice much yet--that is, are
possibilities provided by FI actually being used by libraries? How was FI
implemented in local systems and what has been the impact? Has FI changed
check-in practice and increased the number of titles libraries check-in?
Is CONSER documentation useful?
