      The New Members Round Table's Publicity committee has created a web
page with information regarding New York City and NMRT activities during the
American Library Association's Annual conference in July 1996.

      The web page includes announcements of grant winners, programs and has
a web version of the Mentor Program application form.  (Due to the enormous
amount of mentee applications this year there is a need for mentors.  If you
have a sincere interest in helping a new librarian or a library science
student get the most out of the conference -- please apply!)

      General information about New York includes guides on hotels,
restaurants, record stores, staying safe in the Big Apple, and things to
do with children and during free time in between meetings.
