Acquisitions Course Syllabus available Beth Jacoby 08 May 1996 23:13 UTC

The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS)
Acquisitions Section (AS) Education Committee has developed a course
syllabus that is now available on the ALA gopher (gopher.ala.org) and
the ALA home page (www.ala.org).

The Acquisitions Syllabus was a joint effort between library
practitioners and educators. It includes a bibliography and can be
used whole or in part for courses on acquisitions at the graduate
level; in units within technical services, resources, and collection
development courses, acquisitions institutes and workshops; and in
internal staff development and training events.

A limited number of paper copies is available for anyone without
access to the electronic postings. Send a large (9" x 12" or
larger), self-addressed envelope with $.55 postage to: ALCTS Office,
Acquisitions Syllabus, 50 East Huron Street, Chicago, IL 60611.
