Yes. According to our records, April 1995 was the last issue. The publishers
are sending DISCOVER for the remainder of the subscription period.

OMNI went to microfiche and the Internet.
If you look in the last issue published the status is discussed in a
letter from the editor or publisher I believe.

Dear Anne,
According to our holdings and records, OMNI has gone through a title
change to "Imaging Technology Report" as of the July 1995 issue. I
guess you'll need to contact the pub or your vendor to get the new
title. Good luck.

Yes, it ceased publication in April 1995. We didn't even get the '95
issues since Faxon was unable to claim them. Of course, no refund
either.

I believe that OMNI is not dead, but has just gone away - to the news
stand. We received notice that v.17, n.7, April 1995 was the last issue
sent out as a subscription. OMNI was to be available from that time
forward at the news stand. I hope this helps.

Someone else on the list probably has more detailed information but I
believe that Omni may only be available in electronic format. We have
a microfiche subscription and have been in contact with UMI regarding
what will happen to that type of format--didn't get a firm answer, yet.

it going again.

Anne

OMNI has not died. It is just no longer available as a subcription to
libraries. I called the publishers last year to find out why this
happened. They told me that is was only available on the news
stand. I told them that this was not right because many libraries
subscribed to this title. They did not seem interested. I said that
I did not have the time nor would I remember to go to the news stand each time
an issue was published. I did not get anywhere with these people.
Maybe if more libraries called the publisher directly to complain,
something might be done.
