Subject: New vs. reconditioned microfilm machines

Our library needs to choose between a new Minolta RP603Z Reader/Printer
for about $7000 or a reconditioned Minolta RP505 for $2500.  We now have
the RP505 on a rental basis, and it seems to work well.
  Would we be making a mistake by getting the older model?  Can anyone
give me their experience with the reliability and longevity of the
Minolta 505?
