   "COORDINATING DATABASE SELECTION IN THE HARVARD COLLEGE LIBRARY:
 The experience of the College Library's Electronic Resources Council"

Michael Fitzgerald, Council Chair and Electronic Texts Librarian,
  Widener Library
Ann-Marie Breaux, Council Coordinator and Assistant Head, Technical
  Services, Hilles and Lamont Libraries
Ellen Cohen, Council Member and Director, Financial Services, Harvard
  College Library

Michael, Ann-Marie, and Ellen will share their experience with the Council
through a presentation that includes ample opportunity for questions and for
for discussion among all those attending.  The Council, still in its first
year of activity, aims to coordinate the nomination, ranking, and investi-
gation of resources in the Harvard College Library.  It reports its findings
to the Librarian and Associate Librarians to aid them in making the decisions
about additions to the collection.  The Council includes people experienced
in the range of library activities.
