RE: holdings in SIRSI. Not being familiar with the SIRSI system, I cannot
say for sure if this option is viable. If possible, I would enter summary
level holdings only. For current subscriptions, it would look something
like this:
           v.1 (1982)-
For non-current subscriptions, it would look something like this:
           v.1 (1982)-v.10 (1992)
Gaps would be recorded thusly:
           v.1 (1982)-v.3 (1984); v.5 (1986)-
Incomplete volumes could be noted with a separate missing issues listing:
           MISSING: v.3:no.2 (1984:Feb.); v.5:no.2 (1986:Feb.); etc.
This method would convey the same message with a lot less work.
