We do add the year to the spine of the volume. What happens is that we
end up having volume 1, 1991/92, volume 2, 1992/93, etc.

To make the situation as clear as we cam for patrons we include both years
on the spine.

Our library labels the spine with the volume number, months, and year.
For example, Vol.50, July -June, 1995-96, or July 1995-June 1996.

If the volume being bound is complete, we just use volume number and
years. If it is a partial volume, we also use months and, if it is a
science journal, page numbers. Aren't they fun though? Especially when
they change the starting months from year to year. Enjoy?
