Are any of you planning to attend the Crimea '96 Conference, to be held
in Yalta the first week of June?

I'm giving a paper there (co-authored by Hazel Woodward, former head of
UKSG -- she attended some of the NASIG conferences) on international
cooperation in the field of serials in the new millenium; there's a possibility
I'll have an extra day or so in Kiev (or somewhere) and am seeking possible
travel companion(s) who may have like plans.

It sounds like it will be a good conference (our paper notwithstanding) from
what Dr. Pourciau (Univ. of Memphis) tells me. I don't know how much will be
on serials, but I know that serials are very important to many of the former
soviet and eastern bloc countries.

If you're going and are interested in sharing travel plans, please e-mail
me directly (kathleen@sjsuvm1.sjsu.edu) or phone (408) 924-2826.
