Subject: ANSI standard for serial holdings

We are just beginning to use the ANSI standard for serials holdings
here in N.Z.

Could someone advise me how to record the holdings of a serial with a
362 such as Vol. 1 (1946)-v. 20 (1966) ;  2nd ser., v. 1 (1967)-v. 10
(1977)  ;  3rd ser, v. 1 (1978)-

Would the holdings statement be something such as: v.1(1946)-20 2nd
ser.:v.1-10 3rd ser.:v.1-

Should there be a space between 20 and 2nd, and between 10 and 3rd.
