Subject: MARC format - template and training

HI SERIALSTers...

We are starting to look at OCLC (re-)training for serials staff and I would
like to use a MARC template as a way to (re-)introduce staff to the basics
of searching.

A while back, I had a copy of a pre-format integration MARC record for
serials template. The template basically laid out the most common fields,
indicators and delimiters found in the serials record. It is NOT the one
in the OCLC Bibilographic Manual. I cannot find my copy and am wondering
if any one (or the original author) might have something similiar.

I'm also interested in hearing about different and perhaps unique
techinques people have used to train technicians and para-professionals on
both the MARC format and OCLC in-house.

Thanks for whatever assistance y'all can provide,
Paula
