SERIALST User Survey: Last Call Birdie MacLennan 28 Sep 1995 14:21 UTC

Thanks again to all of you who have responded to the SERIALST
Questionnaire and User Survey that was posted to Sept. 13. As
some of you will recall, I put a Sept. 30 deadline for responses
to the survey. Thus, to those who haven't filled a survey out
already (and there are MANY of you in this category!) I am giving
one last pitch and plea for your participation.

So far, I have received slightly more than 200 responses (@10% of
the subscribership). The majority of responses have been from
librarians. I would really like to hear more from publishers, vendors,
students, and library support staff -- as well as continuing to hear
from librarians. The subscriber listing is currently just shy of the
2300 mark, with more than 1900 active recipients. I have given up
on the 25-30% response rate I was hoping for earlier (i.e., between 500
and 700 replies by Sept. 30) -- but would still like to up the percentage
of responses, as I want the survey summary to reflect as wide and
varied a segment of the total subscribership as is possible.

A reminder that the SERIALST SURVEY was recently mounted on UVM's
LISTSERV fileserver. If you missed the Sept. 13 posting and
aren't inclined to go back to retrieve it from the archives, you
can retrieve it directly from the server. Just send a three word
email message to: LISTSERV@UVMVM.UVM.EDU
The message should read: GET SERIALST SURVEY

If you haven't already filled out the survey, please take a few moments
to do so and send it back to me by Sept. 30. I will summarize and post
the responses to list within the next month or so.

I promise that this is the last time I'll ask!
Your time and interest are important and very much appreciated.

Thanks again,

        Birdie MacLennan
