I am attempting to assess how much interest there would be in a
simple system of recording use of periodicals within the confines of
the library, which is estimated to be the majority of use, or possibly
all in libraries where loan of periodicals is not allowed. Such a system
would need to ensure users DO NOT reshelve issues and volumes after use.
How much of a drawback would libraries consider this to be and what
is your estimate of the percentage of periodicals library staff have to
reshelve at present?
