The Eisenhower Library at Johns Hopkins University maintains a 60/40 split
between serials and monographs in a $5.5 million acquisitions budget.
We're afraid that serials inflation this year may upset this and will be
watching serials expenditures closely.

Genevieve:
Our expenditures are approximately 50/50. This varies by discipline of
course, as the sciences tend to be more like 10/90 (90% of cost is
serials/periodicals).

However, our cataloging support and technical support for serials is
considerably less than that for monographs.
