Subject: full text databases & retianing paper copies of periodicals

We are considering subscribing to a full text database (we are looking
at Expanded Academic Index and one of the EBSCO databases). Before we do
this, I would like to ask some questions from those of you who have already
traveded the path of full text databases. What I would like to know is:

1. What full text periodical databases do you subscribe to?
2. Do you allow students to download to a disk articles that they find?
3. Have you canceled paper copy subscriptions to periodicals that are
included full text in the database?
4. If so, what criteria or method did you use to select those that were
to be canceled? Or did you just cancel all of them that were full
   text?

I would really like to hear (or read) your comments.
