We also received the letters from Williams and Wilkins here at Rutgers
Univ. Recently, we also received similar letters from Springer Verlag.
We have also received telephone calls from Elsevier asking us to renew.
I wish the publishers would check with the vendors or subscription
agents before sending all this mail.

we go through them and annotate with the vendor name and return to the
publisher so that they can update their records. A lot of useless work.

Amen to your comment! I once got fifteen letters from a
publisher telling me that their journal's cost was going up
the next year...I was so angry, that I mailed all 15 letters
back to them and suggested in my letter that perhaps sending
out all these notices was one of the reasons their journal's
cost was rising.....needless to say, I never heard back from
them...oh, well, I felt better!

Thanks for your comment!!!
