We have quite a few gift subscriptions and many problems with them. Since
we cannot claim them automatically like the other subscriptions, we often
notice far too late that something is missing. Then we have to write a
letter to the publisher and ask politely if they could please put us on
their mailing list again and also send the missing issues. This is always
a hassle and a low priority which means that it will be further delayed.
We also get some subscriptions from retired doctors or other hospital
staff, and have to remind them or call to get the missing issues.
I do not have an ideal solution for this whole problem either. A form
letter would be good. Let me know if you design one.
