I have a January 1994 copy of the Gale Directory of Databases.  Under the
category of News there are dozens of cd-rom full-text products listed.
Many of those I have checked are produced by Newsbank.  For example:
  Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette/Arizona Business Gazette
  Austin American-Statesman
  Baltimore Sun
  Boston Globe
  Buffalo News
  Chicago Tribune
etc, etc, but you get the idea.  I'd suggest giving Newsbank a call.  Are
people also familiar with Newsbank's CD Newsbank?  It is the full text of
news articles from 100's of newspapers and 10 newswires.  It is not cover-
to-cover full text, though.  I really am not a Newsbank rep.  But their
