The Queensland State ALIA Conference Organising Committee invites you to
attend the 1995 State Conference on 13 and 14 July 1995 at Rockhampton.
The Conference will be held at Central Queensland University.

PRE-CONFERENCE ACTIVITIES - WEDNESDAY 12 JULY
1:00-2:30 pm - Australian Bureau of Statistics - workshop and demonstration
of ABS CD-ROM products - FREE

3:00-5:00 pm - ACLIS (Qld) - an invitation is extended to all delegates to
attend an 'Open Meeting' of ACLIS (Queensland) to discuss issues and
activities involving ACLIS.

6:00-8:00 pm - Registration and Reception to be held at Rockhampton's Historic
Customs House on the banks of the Fitzroy River.  This is held in conjunction
with the Victorian State Archives travelling exhibition, "Raiders of the
Lost Archives".  The reception is supported by EBSCO Australia

CONFERENCE DINNER
The conference dinner will be held at historic Glenmore Homestead.  The dinner,
supported by Peter Pal Library Supplier, will be a traditional bush meal and
will include bushdancing. Cost $30 (meal, bushdancing, drinks, transport)

ACCOMMODATION
On campus accommodation is available at the University's Capricornia College.
The cost is $36.50 per night for a single study room with shared bathroom
facilities, breakfast and all linen.  Accommodation fees must be included
with registration.

Capricornia College may impose a cancellation fee if a cancellation is made
less than one week prior to the Conference.  Off campus accommodation is
available from a range of motels close to the University.  A list of motels
and price range will be made available if required.

TRANSPORT
Rockhampton is well serviced by bus, train and plane services.  QANTAS is the
official conference airline.  Flight bookings can be made through any QANTAS
office.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Registrations close on Friday 30 June. Cancellations postmarked this date or
prior to this date will be refunded 75% of registration fee.  No refunds
will be made for cancellations made after this date.

The Conference registration fee includes the Reception and Registration,
and lunch and morning and afternoon tea for both days.

Registration fees to be paid by cheque or money order only. One registration
per form please. Only 1 delegate per Corporate ALIA Member at the ALIA rate.
