Times higher education supplement

Here is a "how are you doing it?" question:
It has come to my attention that the publication which our catalog
has been calling "The Higher" since August 1991 actually changed back to
its earlier title, "The Times higher education supplement," in June 1992.
The reason we never noticed the change is probably because on the boxes
of microfilm received from Research Publications International, the title
is still "The Higher," with the note, "(formerly the Times Higher Education
supplement.)"
In RLIN, only a few libraries seem to have made the change from
"The Higher" to "The Times higher education supplement (London, England :
1992," which would be correct by AACR2 rules. LC has, so far as I can see,
kept the original title starting in 1971, with a note about "Issues for
Aug. 9, 1991-June 5, 1992 also have title: The Higher."
I would like to correct our catalog and use the real title, but
I am worried about the boxes still coming in with the title "The Higher."
This will definitely confuse the check-in people! How are some of you
folks handling this one?
