As the hosts of the Backserv list, we have received many inquiries
recently about the use of the Backserv list for the exchange of
books, and some users have actually posted lists of books.  Because of
the overlap of many books/serials/annuals, etc. and also because many of
the same people handle the exchange of books and serials in their
library, we have decided to officially expand the scope of the list on a
trial basis to include books.  We do request that the word "books" be
added to the subject line in these cases.  We will be evaluating this
decision in the next month or two and, if it becomes necessary, we will
gladly host an additional list solely for the exchange of books.  To
