Fear not! The 246 first indicator governs _both_ card production and display
in your local system. When you see _Title added entry_, it means a title added
entry card and/or an indexable title in your local system.
One thing format integration will do is make this dual purpose clearer. For
example, the definition of the first indicator in 240 currently reads:
Uniform title printed on card/added entry
With format integration, it will read:
Uniform title printed or displayed
"Printed" on a card, "Displayed" in the local system, or both if you have both.
Hope this helps.

I don't know if this is pertinent, but in the WLN Data Preparation Manual
the 1st indicator controls not only the added entry title on products but
also in online displays. If a '1' it will be displayed in an online display;
if '0' it will not be displayed. Then the 2nd indicator generates a
display constant that tells what kind of title it is.
