Would any of you SERIALST readers be willing to share copies of recent
position descriptions with members of my selection committee.  We have
been charged by our library director to write a position description for
a new department head for serials.  The department will be responsible
for public services, acquisitions, receiving, binding, holdings upkeep in
NOTIS, and cataloging serials and periodicals.  The reference department
will continue to be responsible for bibliographic instruction in use of
NOTIS and use of indexes.  We are the main library for the University of
West Florida, a medium-sized regional library in the panhandle of Florida.
We serve approximately 7,500 graduate and undergraduate students, and we
currently subscribe to approximately 3,500 serial and periodical titles.
