Please forgive me if this topic has already been well covered, but I
have just signed up on this list :) .  Our library is a hospital
library in Melbourne, Australia with about 500 journal subscriptions.
We currently use separate manual record systems for accessioning,
claiming, backissue orders, and invoice payments, ie lots of
paperwork!  We plan to computerise all these functions hopefully on
one integrated system, and were thinking of making this PC based.
We run a Dynix library system but do not use this for serials control.

Can anyone recommend a good software product that they are using for
serials management?  Or is it better to design an inhouse system
around something like dBase or FileMaker Pro?
