OCLC SERVICES COORDINATOR/LIBRARIAN (2 positions)
The Southeastern Library Network (SOLINET) has 2 current openings for
the position of OCLC Services Coordinator. This high-visibility
position provides member libraries with training and consultation on
the use of the OCLC System. In addition, coordinators travel
extensively throughout the southeast to conduct continuing education
workshops. They also provide first line telephone support for over
700 member libraries in the southeast and the Caribbean. Coordinators
must be able to offer a base level of training and support in all
areas of OCLC services and products; additionally, each position
specializes in either cataloging, reference or interlibrary loan.
Requirements for each coordinator include: ALA MLS or equivalent; 2
years varied professional library experience, with at least one year
in cataloging or reference or interlibrary loan; working knowledge of
OCLC MARC, AACR2 and current cataloging/reference/interlibrary loan
practice; solid knowledge of personal computers and their operating
systems; demonstrated training ability; ability to manage extensive
travel schedule. Beginning salary range for each position:
$27,000-32,000; generous benefits package. Review of applications
