  I, too, am interested in reading the replies to this posting.  In
  addition, I would like to talk to anyone who has available actual
  programming routines that implement this ANSI standard.  I am
  particularly keen to see ones that deal with predicting and
  condensing.  We have recently created a serials check-in module
  for our GALIN system, and have a holdings project on a back burner
  (on very low at the moment).  Thanks,
