Hello all --

How have you handled the change in volume numbering in binding "Popular
Photography"? To quote from the bib record (OCLC#1762661) "Vol. 100, Jan.-
Apr. 1993, complete in 4 no.; issues for May 1993- called v. 57- to
reflect the number of years since the publication's inception in May 1937."

How have you shown the new numbering on the bound vol.? We are concerned that
the student shelvers will file this next to the original v.57.

We have come up with several possibilities:
    1. use n.s. even though "new series" does not show on the piece
    2. use the year in the call number on the spine
    3. change the color of the binding
    4. ???

Any suggestions??

Also, we have discovered that the first two issues of the 2nd v.57 (i.e. May
June 1993) were bound with v.100 (Jan-Apr 1993). It is not possible to break
it up and rebind. How would you reflect the numbering on the spine, in light
of the above?

Thanks much for any advice you can give.
