Subject: Serials Mgmt Software-Low-end!
I am a newcomer to this list, so please bear with
me if this question has been covered recently.
We maintain subscriptions to about 30 CD-ROM databases
--a very small number of titles compared to our hardcopy
serials collection, but nonetheless a large enough
group to make a fairly complex management task. We
need to track the usual things--renewals, receipts, prices,
claims, etc. But since the number of titles is not going
to grow over about 50 titles at the most, we need only
a fairly low-end, PC (DOS or Windows)-based software
package. Any suggestions? For example, has anyone had
experience, good or bad, with software from Right On Programs?
I have a catalog from them which includes a "Periodical Manager"
program in DOS and Windows, standalone and network versions.
I would very much appreciate any thoughts on the subject. You
may reply to me directly, if you prefer, or list.
