This announcement is being cross posted to several lists. Please excuse
the duplication.
The ALCTS Cataloging and Classification Section's Committee on
Education, Training, and Recruitment for Cataloging and the LAMA
Personnel Administration Section present the program "Knowing how: keys
to successful hiring for cataloging" at the upcoming annual conference
in Miami Beach. The program will be Saturday, June 25, from 9-11 am in
A209 of the Miami Beach Convention Center. Walter High, Head of
Cataloging at North Carolina State University, and Florence King,
Personnel Librarian at the University of Georgia, will discuss such
topics at job analysis, job posting, screening, interviewing, and
selecting. George Gibbs, Assistant Director for Technical Services at
the University of Kansas, will provide reactions to ideas presented by
speakers.
