        CREATIVE IDEAS IN TECHNICAL SERVICES DISCUSSION GROUP

                  invites you to be a participant
    in one of three lively, facilitated round table discussions
                       on the following topics:

*   THE ACQUISITIONS-CATALOGING INTERFACE
         At what point and how early in the process can the cataloging
information be supplied?  What implications are there for staffing,
acquisitions training/cataloging training, cataloging rules, authority
control, electronic formats?  And more!

*   PARAPROFESSIONAL-PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
         What changes in roles have occurred in your library/what
effect have they had on techinical services operations?  This topic is back by
popular demand!

*   CONTRACT CATALOGING II/ OUTSOURCING
         Is contract cataloging cheaper? better? faster?  What are the
implications for quality control, authority control?  What are typical vendor
working conditions?  Tell us your views!
